Unfortunately fly tipping, littering and dog fouling have become an increasing problem in recent years.

As part of the strategy to reduce these anti-social practices and protect our environment, Dartford Borough Council investigates these incidents whenever possible, issuing fixed penalty fines, and if necessary issuing prosecutions.

Statement of Environmental Enforcement Policy:

The Local Authority has produced a Statement of Environmental Enforcement Policy which provides a framework for environmental enforcement by Dartford Borough Council (DBC) and to enable and assist Environmental Enforcement Officers in decision-making.

This policy highlights DBC’s responsibility to maintain a clean environment for all but recognises that this cannot be achieved without the support of the local community and the need for people to take personal responsibility for their actions.
