Free energy saving grants for local businesses
Dartford based small-medium businesses can now receive FREE support to cover the cost of energy saving changes like LED lighting, insultation, heat pumps, solar panels and double or triple glazing, by applying for a Dartford Borough Council Low Carbon for Businesses grant of £5,000.
A small-medium business or SME is defined as any organisation that has fewer than 250 employees and a turnover of less than £36 million (or a balance sheet total of less than £18 million).
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund has allowed the Council to provide a select number of businesses with one to one support, an energy survey to identify how they can save on their energy bills and a grant to cover the cost of improvements as we work towards a net zero town.
Energy surveys will find alterations your business could make to reduce your energy bills, and include a detailed breakdown of the carbon saving, cost, and Return On Investment of the changes.
The project links in with our green Net Zero Strategy which falls under our ‘Planet Dartford’ brand umbrella and details how we’re responding to the climate emergency, whilst working together with all stakeholders to tackle climate change and biodiversity loss.
You can contact us if you have any queries.
