Bandstand FAQs
Central Park's Bandstand plays host to free concerts throughout the summer every year. It's also a key landmark for events like the Big Day Out, our St George's Day Parade and the Festival of Light.

Where is the Henry Wellcome Bandstand:
The Henry Wellcome Bandstand is located in the fabulous Central Park, Dartford, with its formal gardens and green open space.
What are the dates and times of the concerts:
The series of bandstand concerts occur every year over the summer. Visit our events page for full dates, times and performers.
Do I need a ticket:
The concerts are a free non ticketed event. Just turn up on the day.
Is there any shelter:
The concerts take place in the open air. There is little shade or shelter. Advice on coping with hot weather
How do I get there? Is there parking:
Central Park is in the heart of Dartford town centre, which can be easily accessed by train, bus or car. The nearest car park is at Acacia.
Are there facilities and parking for disabled people:
The Bandstand concerts take place in Central Park, at the heart of Dartford town centre. It's easy to get to on foot, by bike, by public transport and by car. Parking is available at Acacia Car Park and entrances are on Market Street, Cranford Road and Darenth Road.
Can I bring my dog:
Yes, you are allowed to bring your dog into the park, we just ask you to clear up after your dog.
Are there toilet facilities:
Yes, there are toilet facilities, which also include accessible toilets and baby change available next to Cafe in the Park and next to the Cranford Road entrance to the park.
Can I bring chairs, blankets and gazebos to the concerts:
There are a limited number of free deckchairs available on a first come, first serve basis, so please bring your fold up chairs and blankets, but if you could leave the Gazebos and large parasol type umbrellas at home as they restrict other bandstand visitors views.
Can I bring a picnic:
Yes, you are welcome to bring along a picnic lunch; alternatively, you could always pop into the Café in the Park, who have a wide range of goodies on offer.
