Identify an object
You are always welcome to bring in any objects which you'd like to have identified.
Staff are often able to provide a verbal identification on the spot but objects can also be left at the museum for more detailed identifications or when staff need to seek advice from other museums.
Please note that staff cannot give valuations.
Dartford Borough Museum also welcomes metal detectorists who would like to have their finds identified. Detectorists may find the website of the Portable Antiquities Scheme to be of interest to them. It can be found at www.finds.org.uk
