Council makes changes to parking permit system
Last Updated: 10 Dec 2021 11:17am
From Monday, December 13th, we will be changing the way parking permits work in our borough.
From next week we will be using our new, customer-focused, virtual parking permit system, PermitSmarti, and will be moving away from paper-based methods.
The new system is simple, effective, easy to access and very easy to use.
It’s very easy to sign up as well – you simply visit www.dartford.gov.uk, select parking, then permits and then create an account but if you have any problems we are here to help.
Once your account is up and running, you will be able to apply and pay for all types of permit, book visitor parking slots and alter/amend registered vehicles.
Our move to PermitSmarti means that permits will be paperless going forward. Anyone with paper permits that are still in date can continue to display them but once they expire you will need to create an account online.
Please note this change does not include Pay and Display parking.
If you have any concerns, questions, or need any assistance in setting up your account then please contact 01322 343434 and ask for Parking Services.
