Dartford Borough Council supports ‘Small Business Saturday’ as it returns for its eleventh year in the UK.
On 2nd December, ‘Small Business Saturday’ returns for its eleventh year in the UK. Whether you’re a local shop, small manufacturer or online business, all small Dartford business owners are encouraged to get involved.
To mark the occasion, Dartford Borough Council is partnering with Made in Kent Radio to help support and promote Dartford’s small businesses. Made in Kent will be broadcasting live from One Bell Corner on a busy High Street market day, where a number of local business owners will join them on air to promote their business to local listeners.
Alongside this, Small Business Saturday have organised a number of free online business mentoring sessions that can be booked via their website, and for those with an inspiring story, virtual interviews will also be taking place where you can share tips and motivate others on their own business journey.
Small businesses are so important to our town, and we must all remember to ‘use them, or lose them’, so all Dartford residents are encouraged to support your local small businesses not just this Saturday, but all year round.
Lead Member for Business and Enterprise, Councillor Avtar Sandhu MBE said, “It’s great to work alongside Made in Kent Radio to showcase our local businesses that dedicate themselves to serving the people of Dartford. We’re delighted to show our support of small businesses and it’s vitally important that we continue to do so.”
Leader of the Council Jeremy Kite MBE said: “Our small local businesses bring so much to Dartford so we’re always obliged to give back and support them whenever we can. Small Business Saturday is a great opportunity to promote all their hard work and share their stories with both local customers and even other aspiring entrepreneurs. It’s a wonderful way to connect and strengthen our business community.”
