Rebel Business School
Funded by Dartford Borough Council via the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, Dartford residents can gain free business mentoring support from award-winning organisation the Rebel Business School, to help them turn their passions, talents or hobbies into a small, growing business.

Beam
Funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, for the second year running Beam is partnering with the Council to deliver one-to-one employment and life skills support to economically inactive residents, including socially excluded residents (E33) and people furthest from the labour market (E34) in Dartford.
Their delivery will take place until the end of the UKSPF year 3 provision (31st March 2025), and will include:
- Employment provision of tailored, one-to-one employment support to residents, to support them on their journey towards employment.
- A 60-minute one-to-one Skills Shop meeting with their Beam caseworker, tailored to their support needs, covering various life skills topics.
- Access to vocational, accredited online courses for service-users.
- Funding for vocational licences for service-users (i.e. SIA Licence).

Kent Foundation – Dartford Means Business
Dartford Means Business is a project launched by The Kent Foundation in partnership with Dartford Borough Council, funded via the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Running from September 2024 to March 2025, the project aims to create a vibrant ecosystem that will empower participants to turn their business ideas into thriving ventures. The project includes a 1-2-1 mentorship program, business showcase event, and culminates in a ‘Pitch Your Idea’ competition, giving participants the chance to win valuable funding for their business.
