Dartford High Street is the heart of the town centre and is a key shopping and leisure hub. It’s also home for Dartford’s historic Thursday & Saturday markets and hosts weekly events and entertainment.
At peak periods, as many as 20,000 people can visit the High Street in a day, meaning the balance between motorists and pedestrians needs to be carefully managed.
We want our streets to be a safe space for everyone, for businesses to be able to flourish, for children to get to and from school safely and healthily, so our street markets can thrive and visitors can shop and have fun.
