Graffiti and Fly-posting
The Council takes acts of vandalism very seriously and will endeavour to clear graffiti from wherever it can from public facing structures.
Fly-posting is the commercially driven defacement of the local environment through the display of advertisements pasted or attached to buildings, street furniture or other structures without the consent of the owner, contrary to the provisions of the Regulations. The relevant regulations are the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) Regulations 1992. Fly-posting is illegal, and those responsible for it, or benefiting from it, can be prosecuted.
We aim to remove reported graffiti and fly-posting within 5 working days.
